Dr. Martens Plc is seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to join the Financial Control team. You will own parts of the group’s half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes, collaborating with management and auditors.

The role emphasises IFRS knowledge, cross-functional partnership, and technical papers for the Director of Financial Control and CFO, supporting month-end processes and Group reporting activities. Hybrid working and healthcare benefits are included.

Formación

• Qualified professional with ACA/ACCA or equivalent; IFRS knowledge
• Experience in a large global organisation is a plus
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

As our Group Reporting Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Financial statements: Own and produce parts of the Group's half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes. Prepare supporting evidence for review by management and auditors.
• Monthly and Foundation accounting: Support the monthly accounting for IFRS 16 leases and IFRS 2 share-based payments, making sure calculations and postings are accurate. Prepare the quarterly Dr. Martens Foundation journals, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts, and support the audit of the Foundation's annual accounts.
• Technical papers and collaboration: Help prepare technical accounting papers for the Director of Financial Control, the CFO, external auditors, the Audit and Risk Committee and the Group Board. Support the Group month-end process and work with the wider Group Finance teams (Regional Finance, FP&A, Tax, Global Supply Chain and Investor Relations) to consolidate, analyse and report results.

KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

• Qualified and up to date: ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, with current knowledge of IFRS. Experience in a large global organisation is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Works well with multiple teams, pays close attention to detail and produces high-quality work.
• Systems: Experience with OneStream and D365 is useful but not essential.
