Job summary

The Club Company is seeking a Group People Development Manager to lead our learning and development strategy across the UK group. You will manage our LMS, drive engagement and compliance, and design development programmes that support growth and succession planning.

A CIPD Level 3 Foundation is desirable. Reporting to the People & Talent Director, you will partner with club leaders to deliver impactful learning experiences and own the Apprenticeship Levy strategy to ensure a strong start for

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development or a related People function.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage audiences at all levels.
  • Ability to identify learning needs, analyse people data and design effective development solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Learning Management System (LMS), driving engagement, compliance and learning outcomes across all clubs.
  • Identify skills gaps and develop innovative learning solutions and development programmes across the group.
  • Own the Group Induction Programme and Apprenticeship Levy strategy to ensure an exceptional learning journey from day one.
  • Collaborate with leaders to align learning with business growth and succession planning.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Group People Development Manager to lead and shape our learning and development strategy across the Group. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on colleague development, helping to build future talent, strengthen succession planning and ensure our teams have the skills and knowledge needed to support the continued success of the business.

Reporting to the People & Talent Director, you will oversee our Learning Management System, driving engagement, compliance and learning outcomes across all clubs. You'll work closely with leaders throughout the business to identify skills gaps, develop innovative learning solutions and deliver development programmes that support both individual and organisational growth. The role also takes ownership of our Group Induction Programme and Apprenticeship Levy strategy, ensuring colleagues receive an exceptional learning journey from their first day and throughout their career with us.

This role is ideal for a passionate learning and development professional who enjoys creating engaging development experiences, influencing stakeholders and helping people achieve their full potential.

Experience & Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development or a related People function.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage, influence and inspire audiences at all levels.
  • The ability to identify learning needs, analyse people data and design effective development solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and commercial awareness, with experience of reporting, evaluating learning effectiveness and managing budgets.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, energetic and passionate approach to developing people and supporting business growth.
  • A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality and championing the Company's CARE values.
  • CIPD Learning & Development Level 3 Foundation qualification is desirable but not essential.
Schedule:
  • We operate a 7-days a week business, your required working pattern may include weekends and bank holidays
  • This is a hybrid role with travel to all clubs as per the requirements of the business
