Job summary

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Group Manager to lead Organisational Assurance and Learning, delivering the Assurance and Learning Strategy, ensuring risks are managed and statutory obligations are met.

Qualifications

• Evidence of competency working on flexi rota at Station Manager level for a minimum of 12 months.
• Must hold Incident Command Level 2 and be operationally competent.
• Must have a valid FiTech score of 37 ml/kg/min or above.
• Must hold an in-date Occupational Health Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Manager area for Organisational Assurance and Learning.
• Implement the Assurance and Learning Strategy across the Service and ensure statutory obligations are met.
• Provide confidence through risk management and effective resource use.
