Job summary

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is seeking Group Manager level leaders to cover Devon and Somerset with a base in Somerset. You will bring inspirational leadership, experience in incident command, and a proven ability to deliver outcomes for communities served.

Applicants must be substantive Station Managers in a UK Fire and Rescue Service, hold the required ICS qualifications and PRDC, and demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration across partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Be a competent substantive Station Manager within a UK local authority Fire and Rescue Service.
• Hold Level 2 Incident Command System (ICS) qualification or evidence of competence at Incident Command Level 2 (or equivalent) and hold the PRDC.
• Able to demonstrate and evidence significant leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational cover across Devon and Somerset, with a base location in Somerset.
• Lead and develop the function at Group Manager level within the Fire and Rescue Service.
• Complete the application process, including a personal impact statement focusing on the NFCC Leadership Framework.
