Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) is seeking a Group Management Accountant to deliver accurate monthly management accounts, group consolidation, and insightful analysis for stakeholders across the business. The role blends hands-on month-end work with financial analysis, process improvement and intercompany accounting.

You will forecast, budget, and support audits while driving reporting improvements and maintaining strong controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management accounting role, ideally in a group or multi-entity environment.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent professional finance qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, controls and reporting.
• Ability to interpret financial information and explain variances clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, applying professional judgement and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets with operational teams to produce detailed plans.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts and tax information, and support audits.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce reporting timescales.
• Prepare and analyse weekly margin reports for senior stakeholders.
• Review spending vs. budget and forecast, investigate variances and mitigate.
• Maintain balance sheet accounts across divisions and resolve items.
• Support maintenance and enhancement of Power BI reports.
• Reconcile gross profit monthly and oversee intercompany transactions.
• Calculate and process commission and bonus payments.
