Buttress in Brackley, UK, is seeking a Group Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team. You will own monthly management accounts, support consolidation and intercompany reporting, and provide analysis to improve financial performance.

This role is ideal for a part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA professional looking to broaden Group Finance experience within a growing, acquisitive business.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Good understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.
• Experience producing clear and meaningful variance commentary.
• Good Excel, systems and data-handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence communicating financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• The ability to work effectively to month-end and reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for allocated Group entities.
• Post and review journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Own balance-sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Support Group consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
• Produce meaningful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Provide clear commentary on the key drivers of financial performance.
• Support stock, landed-cost and margin accounting and investigate variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and external audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate, well-supported and audit-ready working papers.
• Support the standardisation and improvement of Group Finance processes and reporting.
• Contribute to improvements within NetSuite and connected finance systems.
