Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) is seeking a Group Management Accountant to join the finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support accurate, timely group reporting and provide clear financial insight to stakeholders across the business, combining hands-on month-end accounting with consolidation, analysis and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a group or multi-entity environment.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of management accounting, month-end reporting and financial controls.
• Experience with group consolidation and intercompany accounting is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain variances clearly.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliations and reporting.
• Confident using finance systems and Excel, with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Well organized and able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to build effective relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including judgment & valuation, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets with operational teams and support functions.
• Prepare statutory accounts and tax information, assisting audits.
• Identify and implement ways to reduce reporting time and improve processes.
• Prepare and analyze weekly margin reports for senior stakeholders.
• Conduct spend reviews to identify variances and mitigate.
• Maintain the balance sheet across divisions and resolve outstanding items.
• Assist in maintaining Power BI reports and drive improvements.
• Reconcile gross profit monthly and manage intercompany transactions.
• Process prepayments, fixed assets depreciation, accruals and intercompany postings.
• Partner with Directors in business for accurate financial insight.
