Job summary

Princes Group in the United Kingdom (Long Sutton) seeks an experienced operations professional to drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement across sites. You will work with site leaders to deliver cost reductions, quality improvements and enhanced people capability.

The role requires coaching teams, applying tools such as 5S, VSM, TPM, Kaizen and OEE, and rolling out the Princes Operating System (POS) across sites, with hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day WFH) and a focus on

Qualifications

• In depth practical experience of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Standardised Work, Problem Solving, VSM, TPM, SMED, Kaizen and OEE with evidence of how improvement projects have delivered real sustainable results financially and behaviourally.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate and engaging and the ability to quickly establish good relationships with internal and external customers.
• The ability to motivate, mentor and engage teams to enable them to take on new skills and translate into operations.
• Negotiating and influencing skills to avoid the potential for internal tensions.
• Strong leadership, team building, coaching and development skills
• Project management skills

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement lean manufacturing work practices including Floor Management System, 5S, Asset Excellence and problem solving to drive continuous improvement across the site.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the Princes Operating System (POS) and the Sites Must Win Battle Plans.
• Ensure training for direct reports is documented using the skills matrix.
• Support the General Manager in creating a culture of best practice and continuous improvement that eliminates waste.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver sustained cost reductions and performance improvements.
