Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead the IT function across its UK dealerships from the Hatfield head office. The role requires strategic oversight of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity and vendor management across multi-site operations.

You will drive the IT strategy, budgets, and technology roadmap, ensure high availability of DMS and CRM systems, and lead project delivery for site acquisitions and deployments across the group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT within a multi-site organisation.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, networking and cybersecurity.
• Experience managing IT projects, suppliers and budgets.
• Commercially focused with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Automotive/commercial vehicle dealership experience desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Group locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT function across multiple sites.
• Develop and implement the Group IT strategy, budget and technology roadmap.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, Microsoft 365, hardware, software and telecommunications.
• Manage cybersecurity, data protection, backups and disaster recovery.
• Support and manage dealership, manufacturer, DMS, CRM and business-critical systems.
• Manage IT suppliers, contracts, licences and external service providers.
• Lead IT projects, system upgrades, integrations and new-site/acquisition implementations.
• Provide effective IT support to all dealerships employees.
