Curious Universe is seeking a seasoned Group Head of Product Quality & Compliance to elevate our approach to quality, compliance and supplier performance across our toy and arts & crafts ranges.

You will lead the Product Compliance,Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality functions, partnering with Production, Procurement and Product Development to embed proactive quality throughout the lifecycle. Experience with overseas manufacturing partners, ideally in Asia, is highly valuable.

Curious Universe is looking for an experienced Group Head of Product Quality & Compliance to help us take our approach to product quality, compliance and supplier performance to the next level.

We’re a fast-growing creative consumer products business producing arts & crafts, activity books, toys, stationery and lifestyle products, selling more than 20m products each year across 77 countries.

This is a senior role with a broad remit spanning Product Compliance, Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality. You’ll lead and develop our Product Compliance function while working closely with Production, Procurement and Product Development to strengthen supplier performance and embed a proactive approach to quality throughout the product lifecycle.

A significant part of the role will involve working directly with our international supplier base, establishing clear quality expectations, identifying trends and root causes and driving sustainable corrective action. You’ll also help us develop practical QA processes and quality gates, ensuring the requirements of our major retail customers are properly understood and embedded.

We’re looking for someone who brings experience from toys, children’s products, arts & crafts, stationery, publishing or a closely related consumer products environment, together with strong experience in product compliance, QA and/or supplier quality. Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners, ideally in Asia, will be particularly valuable.

You’ll need to be commercial, collaborative and confident challenging both suppliers and internal stakeholders, with the ability to turn quality issues and data into practical improvements.
