Springwell Learning Community is seeking a Group Guide/Advanced Teaching Assistant (Grade 5) to support a group of students with SEMH needs. You will plan transitions, provide a secure base for emotional regulation, and build trusted relationships within a focused classroom setting.

Ideal candidates have experience with complex needs, strong communication, and a background in positive behaviour support. GCSEs in Maths and English and NVQ3 or equivalent are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• Knowledge of positive behaviour support techniques and de-escalation.
• Ability to engage and educate students effectively.

Responsabilités

• Support a specific group of students with SEMH needs.
• Plan and facilitate smooth transitions between lessons and activities.
• Provide a secure base to help regulate emotions and model calm behaviour.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with your group.
