Job summary

Career Moves Group, a high-growth fintech, is partnering to appoint a Group Financial Controller reporting to the COO and Board. This is a hands-on finance leadership role, shaping strategy, controls and scalable processes.

You will lead monthly close, deliver robust management accounts and partner with cross-functional teams to support expansion and regulatory compliance, while building a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• ACA/CA qualified or equivalent.
• 5+ years post-qualified financial control experience.
• Experience with safeguarding requirements, client money regulations and/or foreign exchange operations.
• Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders and boards.
• Previous team leadership and people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the finance function with minimal supervision.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes with accurate reporting.
• Own the management-accounts pack, variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Enhance controls, FCA reporting responsibilities and derivatives accounting oversight.
• Lead external audit preparation and support transition to a new provider.
• Review and improve finance policies, processes, and documentation; focus on automation and scalability.
• Develop budgeting, forecasting and FP&A capability as the business grows.
• Partner with Operations, IT, Treasury, Compliance, People and Commercial teams.
• Support regulatory and commercial expansion, including licence applications.
