Job summary

Broadstone Resourcing Limited seeks a Financial Controller for a Kent-based consultancy with hybrid working. You will lead the Group's financial control, reporting and governance across the six trading subsidiaries, reporting to the CEO and providing insight to the leadership team.

Responsibilities include consolidating group accounts, managing audits, ensuring UK GAAP/AIM compliance, and delivering KPI-rich management information and board reports.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Group Financial Controller or senior Group reporting roles.
• Proven knowledge of group consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Solid understanding of UK GAAP and AIM/listed-company requirements.
• Experience managing external audits and professional advisers.
• Strong governance, controls and process improvement capabilities.
• Ability to produce high-quality management information and board reporting.
• Commercial mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insight.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern digital finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of Group statutory accounts, including consolidation of six subsidiaries.
• Own the Group's financial control framework, ensuring consistent policies and controls.
• Manage the year-end audit, working with external auditors and advisers.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, company law and AIM-related reporting requirements.
• Produce consolidated management accounts, KPIs and board reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes.
• Monitor Group performance, profitability, working capital and cash generation.
• Provide financial insight and challenge to the CEO and senior leadership team.
• Develop reporting across markets, brands, products and business units.
• Ensure finance systems and data structures support scalable Group reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across the finance function and controls.
