An international high-end IT manufacturing business based in Wakefield require a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Group Financial Accountant to join their business in what is a very exciting role at an interesting point in the business’s growth.
Due to recent new investment this role has been created to add extra value to the finance team as the company embarks on quite an ambitious development plan. Working closely with the Group Finance Director your responsibilities will include:
Leading the production of Statutory Accounts to meet both financial and legal requirements.
Working closely with FD drafting the full statutory accounts for review and board approval.
Managing and mentoring the financial accounts team currently studying towards CIMA/ACCA qualification.
Driving improvements on month end deadlines ensuring information is received from senior stake holders discussing and highlighting potential efficiencies
Liaising with external auditors
Providing robust forecasting and budget planning around business strategy playing a lead role in scenario planning.
Attending senior management meetings.
Potential overview of finance systems discussing new system implementation if required.
Ideally you will be CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with previous experience within the manufacturing, engineering or construction sectors. Consideration will also be given to any first moving practice accountant with either audit or accounts preparation background.
