Role: Group Financial Accountant

Location: Leeds, LS15 (with hybrid working after training)

Salary: £Competitive DOE, plus extensive benefits

Working hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours, 08:30 - 17:00

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory requirements across all group companies.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls.
• Assist with audits and regulatory reporting.
• Provide technical accounting advice.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, including IFRS16, IR35, and tax rules.
• Build relationships within the group, with exposure to senior finance leadership.
• Prepare acquisition accounting schedules for new entities, ensuring accurate consolidation.

Candidate profile

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with technical accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with consolidation and acquisition accounting.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant tax legislation.
• Experience preparing statutory group accounts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
