Job summary

Nova Stars Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the day-to-day finance function and provide financial insight for growth and strategic decision-making.

Working with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, you will strengthen controls, improve processes and help the group scale sustainably across multiple sites within the healthcare sector.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or AAT Level 4 with solid professional credentials.
• Experience as Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Finance Officer.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills; experience with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and stakeholder-management abilities; commercially focused.

Responsibilities

• Producing monthly management accounts across multiple group companies.
• Managing budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Analysing financial performance and providing commercial insight.
• Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations and banking.
• Overseeing payroll.
• Ensuring VAT, statutory reporting and financial compliance are completed accurately and on time.
• Supporting year-end accounts and external audits.
• Developing financial controls, systems and reporting.
• Working with operational teams to improve financial performance.
• Supporting acquisitions, new service mobilisation and business growth.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Build the Financial Future of a Growing Healthcare Group

Nova Stars Group is a rapidly growing healthcare group supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health conditions through specialist residential, supported living and transitional services.

We re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function and provide financial insight that supports growth and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with the CEO, Directors and Senior Leadership Team, you ll play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving processes and helping the Group scale sustainably.

The Role

As our Finance Manager, you ll be responsible for:

• Producing monthly management accounts across multiple group companies
• Managing budgets, forecasts and cash flow
• Analysing financial performance and providing commercial insight
• Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations and banking
• Overseeing payroll
• Ensuring VAT, statutory reporting and financial compliance are completed accurately and on time

We re looking for a Finance Manager with:

• Experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Finance Officer
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems; Xero experience is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
• A proactive, commercially focused approach with a passion for improving processes
• Previous finance experience within the health or social care sector would be highly advantageous, particularly within a multi-site or growing organisation

Systems

• You ll work with Xero, BrightHR and Blip, with training provided where required.
