A leading consultancy in product development is seeking a Group Finance Manager to oversee financial accounts for their UK and US operations. The role requires strong finance expertise, experience in a consultancy environment, and the ability to manage a team effectively. About the role
Kinneir Dufort (KD) is a world-class user-centred innovation and product development consultancy, specializing in the medical and consumer health sectors. As part of the SteriPack group, we collaborate globally with contract manufacturing facilities in Europe, the USA and Asia, alongside additional design and product development teams in New Jersey and Colorado.
We are looking for an experienced Group Finance Manager to support preparation of financial accounts for the UK and US design and product development sites, ensuring statutory requirements are met across both locations.
This role reports into the Financial Controller for Design and Product Development and plays a key supportive role in delivering timely and accurate month-end accounts. This role is also responsible for line managing and developing our current Finance Administrator.
About you
You’ll be an experienced Finance Manager with experience working either in design consultancy or in a similar professional services environment, who brings a people-first approach to your work.
You’ll enjoy supporting and collaborating with people across the business in different locations, bringing people with you to resolve any issues or when implementing any changes.
Design consultancy is a dynamic environment, so you will be comfortable in dealing with change and providing a high-level of support so that, no matter what happens, people trust you to provide the best way forward.
Your skills and experience
Whilst you do not need to meet all of these points, please ensure you meet the majority of them before making an application:
· Proven experience in finance and accounting, working to month-end deadlines and/ or ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or part-qualification (or equivalent).
· A demonstrable understanding of UK and US accounting principles.
· A demonstrable understanding of accrued/ deferred income principles.
· Experience in multi-national/ inter-company finance operations.
· Insight-driven analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
· Experience of building good relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders.
· Excellent knowledge of the MS suite.
· An understanding of Xero/ Oracle/ project management systems.
· An understanding of payroll accounting is preferable (including experience of software i.e. Sage/ Paylocity).
· Previous line management experience is preferable.
