Job summary

Cambridge Education Group is seeking a Group Finance Business Partner in Cambridge to support FP&A and senior management across business units. You will lead budgeting, manage two reforecasts, and present analyses to the Executive team, driving insight into opportunities and risks.

You will work closely with the Head of FP&A and Group Commercial Finance Manager on ongoing budgeting cycles, cross-functional projects, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting in a sales-driven, fast-paced organisation.
• Ability to lead budgeting and forecasting processes and own period reforecasts.
• Strong analytical thinking and financial acumen; experience presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budget and two reforecasts for business units.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Group Finance Business Partner to join our team based in Cambridge.

The Group Finance Business Partner is required for:

The Group Finance Business Partner is to support the Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Senior Management team (Finance and Operations) and external stakeholders across all business units.

You will manage a team that will be responsible for leading annual budget and 2 reforecasts for their own business units. You will prepare and present each business unit to the Executive and Senior Management teams and facilitate discussion about opportunities and risks for each stage in the budget/reforecast.

You will work closely with the Group Commercial Finance Manager throughout the year on the budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes and on projects given by the Head of FP&A.

Person Specification

Education

• Accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) Essential
• Educated to Degree level preferred, or equivalent experience

Experience

• Experience working in a business facing finance role in a sales driven, fast-paced organisation.
• Experience of owning and leading on Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Demonstrable experience using analytical thinking and financial acumen in a similar role.
• Experience of people management.
• Experience working alongside senior directors and influencing at all levels of the business.

Skills

• Advanced level of Excel is essential and proficient in PowerPoint.
• Power BI.
• Comfortable operating within senior management and cross functional colleagues.
• Ability to present financial analysis in a confident, simple and compelling way.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive approach towards resolving complex issues.
• Ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication.
• Presentation and high-quality public speaking skills.
