Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are partnering with an established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Group Assistant Accountant to join its Group Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified finance professional looking to develop their career within a multi-entity business, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and Group financial reporting.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification required.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
• Experience posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Good balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Proficient in Excel and finance systems.
• Knowledge of NetSuite is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support the month-end close process and meet reporting deadlines.
• Assist with preparation of management accounts schedules.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and group reporting.
• Assist with external audit documentation and process improvements.
