Job summary

Aviva, the UK’s largest composite insurer, seeks a Big 4 qualified accountant for its Group External Reporting team in a hybrid role across York, Norwich, Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow or Perth. You will support IFRS consolidation, regulatory reporting and external messaging with senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes collaboration, strong controls and the ability to convey complex information clearly to committees and the Board.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with Big 4 training and post-qualified experience in financial services or insurance.
• Experience producing financial analysis, reports, presentations and disclosures with clear explanations.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams to deliver high-quality reporting outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support Group External Reporting in consolidation and IFRS reporting processes.
• Prepare regulatory and statutory reporting suites including annual, interim and quarterly results.
• Collaborate across Group units (FP&A, investor relations, technical accounting, sustainability).
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and robust controls in reporting processes.
