Overview

The Peninsula London is seeking to hire an enthusiastic Group & Events Planning Executive. With the support of the Event Manager this role will be responsible for the planning co-ordination of all group & event bookings. The role supports the group & event sales team with re-contracting annual bookings, increasing group and event revenues through creative upselling techniques, and above all responsible for creating and delivering outstanding experiences for all group and events.

Key accountabilities
  • Responsible for the planning and co-ordination of group & event bookings creating memorable and innovative group & events
  • Support the sales team with re-contracting annual, repeat bookings at the hotel
  • Increase group & event revenues through creative effective upselling techniques.
  • Collaborate and identify opportunities with Sales, Revenue, F&B & Marketing to both drive revenues and enhance brand profile.
  • Participate in relevant alignment meetings such as the daily hotel and division briefings, monthly sales and marketing, group resume meetings, pre-con meetings, client feedback meetings, daily and weekly BEO meetings, operational feedback meetings and credit/PM meetings
  • Manage relationship with external all approved Peninsula London suppliers with a keen focus to drive revenues through the other revenue streams.
General requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years with previous planning, banquet, events or conference services
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff
  • Fluent English language skills
