Job summary

Maven Securities is seeking a Group Accountant to join its UK finance team. You will own balance sheet integrity across group entities, support the close process, and contribute to statutory reporting and consolidation.

This role offers exposure to IFRS, intercompany activities, and opportunities to drive process improvements, automation, and AI-assisted reporting while maintaining strong controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial accounting and control with balance sheet ownership.
• Financial services experience is essential.
• NetSuite experience is highly desirable.
• Strong Excel skills with large datasets and robust analysis.
• IFRS knowledge with governance mindset.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the close timetable and coordinate dependencies with stakeholders.
• Prepare and review journals, accruals, intercompany postings with audit trail.
• Maintain reconciliations and identify/reconcile items promptly.
• Support statutory financial statements and consolidation with auditors.
• Improve accounting policies and technical documentation.
• Stay updated on IFRS developments and regulatory reporting.
