We are seeking a Group Accountant who is detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and committed to professional growth. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing key accounting processes such as accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash flow, and providing crucial support during audits.
This is a hybrid role based at our central London office.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform and review bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare and analyze weekly cash flow reports to support effective liquidity management.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset registers, ensuring accurate asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
- Manage prepayment and accrual schedules and accounting.
- Manage accounts payable processes - managing accounts payable inbox, invoice processing, resolving queries with suppliers and internal departments, and ensuring timely payments.
- Prepare bi-weekly payment proposals and raise payments for approval via various bank portals.
- Prepare and post journal entries within the ERP system.
- Handle multicurrency transactions and manage intercompany transactions and recharges.
- Manage employee reimbursement platforms (e.g., Navan, Expensify, or equivalent).
- Provide support during group and local audits, liaising effectively with internal and external audit teams.
What you bring to the team:
- Previous experience working within a similar industry or multinational group environment.
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a commitment to completing full professional qualification.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of IFRS standards and experience with financial statement preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Adaptable and able to work under tight deadlines.
