Group Accountant (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Overview
Join Spirax Group plc, a global leader in thermal energy management and niche pumping solutions, as a Group Accountant on a 12-month contract. Based at our Cheltenham headquarters, this role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic Group Finance Team, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – Group Functions. You’ll play a key role in managing the financial operations of our intermediate holding companies, which are central to our global financial structure.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…
- Preparing accounting entries, monthly reconciliations, and management accounts for nine holding companies.
- Producing quarterly forecasts and annual statutory financial statements (FY25).
- Ensuring compliance with Group cash pool accounting and governance frameworks.
- Managing intercompany loan balances and resolving mismatches with overseas finance teams.
- Supporting the wider Group Functions finance team with management accounting processes and improvement initiatives.
- Participating in ad hoc projects and investigations to support departmental goals.
Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include….
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment with multi-currency operations.
- A solid background in managing intercompany transactions, including loans and cash pooling.
- A track record of process improvement and collaborative working.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
