Building Careers UK Ltd is actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a Liverpool-based groundworks specialist. You will own the commercial management on residential housing projects, driving value for money and strong financial performance across allocated packages.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, especially groundworks.
• Groundworks and residential housing experience essential.
• Strong cost control, forecasting, valuations and final accounts.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts and procurement.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of allocated groundworks projects.
• Prepare and monitor CVRs, forecasts and cost reports.
• Manage subcontract procurement and supplier accounts.
• Prepare valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
• Review project costs and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with site and project teams on delivery and financial performance.
• Maintain commercial documentation and contractual requirements.
• Liaise with clients, developers, house builders and main contractors.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support the successful delivery of residential groundworks projects.
