Job summary

Winshall is seeking experienced groundworkers for a BESS project in Wrexham. You will support creating an access road, foundations, bases and kerbing as part of civil works on a major site.

The project starts September 2026 and civils complete by January 2027. Up to 50 hours per week with no weekend work currently planned. References detailing previous projects are required with your application.

Qualifications

• Experience as a groundworker on civils projects.
• References showing previous project work.
• Ability to work up to 50 hours per week.
• Certifications such as HSG47 or Streetworks are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Construct access road, foundations and bases as part of civils package.
• Install kerbing in line with project specifications.
• Work on the BESS project in Wrexham and support site teams.
• Maintain safety, compliance and quality standards on site.

Job description

Experienced Groundworkers required for BESS project in Wrexham. The project involves the creation of a new access road, foundations, bases, kerbing etc. and is due to start September 2026 with the civils aspect due to complete by the end of Jan 2027.

Ideally you will hold

• Forward tipping dumper
• Ride on roller
• HSG47 or Streetworks certification.

If you hold National Grid person this may lead on to further work, as Winshall have other hV projects starting in the North West during 2027. If you do not hold NG Person but are interested in doing so please mention this in your application as details can be provided.

Upto 50 hours per week, currently no weekend work is planned.
