Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a Groundworks Supervisor for the Great Grid Partnership on site, overseeing drainage, excavation, concreting and finishing works.

You will lead on safety, coordinate operatives and subcontractors, maintain records and liaise with site management to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• SSSTS qualification essential.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Demonstrable previous experience in a Groundworks supervisory capacity.
• Proven leadership and communication capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements and legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate site teams effectively.
• Experience on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of groundworks operations on site, ensuring all works are executed safely and in accordance with the project programme.

• Ensure strict adherence to company and client health and safety requirements and procedures.
• Maintain accurate site records and prepare required reports in a timely manner.
• Liaise effectively with Site Management and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitor and report on productivity levels and quality standards.
• Conduct and deliver toolbox talks and site briefings as required.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of labour, plant and materials.

Rate

£21.90 - £24.40 per hour (commensurate with experience)
