RGM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hardworking Groundworker / Dumper Operator for a temporary project at Isle of Grain, Kent. The role runs from 2 November to 18 December 2026, supporting the site team with general groundworks and safe dumper operation.

You will follow site rules, wear PPE, carry out daily equipment checks and work as part of a team to maintain safety and efficiency on a busy construction site.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPCS or NPORS for dumper operation.
• Must hold a CSCS card.
• Must provide references.
• Previous groundworks and dumper experience essential.
• Must follow site health and safety procedures.
• Must be available 2 November to 18 December 2026.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out general groundworks duties as required by site management.
• Operating a dumper safely and efficiently to transport materials around the site.
• Moving soil, aggregates and other materials to designated areas.
• Assisting with excavation, backfilling and preparation of ground areas.
• Supporting groundworkers and other tradespeople with day‑to‑day site activities.
• Loading and unloading materials where required.
• Completing daily equipment checks before operating the dumper.
• Ensuring machinery is operated in accordance with site rules and safety procedures.
• Maintaining awareness of pedestrians, vehicles and other machinery working nearby.
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and free from obstructions.
• Following instructions from supervisors and site management.
• Reporting any machinery defects, hazards or unsafe working conditions.
• Wearing the correct PPE and complying with all site health and safety requirements.
• Carrying out any other reasonable groundworks or dumper operating duties required on site.

LOCATION: Isle of Grain, Kent

PAY RATE: £20.00 per hour

This is a temporary opportunity for a hardworking and experienced Groundworker / Dumper Operator to join the site team for the duration of the project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general groundworks duties and operating a dumper safely and efficiently to support site operations. We are looking for someone who is confident working as part of a team, follows instructions and maintains high standards of health and safety.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid CPCS or NPORS card for dumper operation.
• Must hold a valid CSCS card.
• Must have suitable PPE, including safety boots, a hard hat and a high‑visibility vest, along with any additional PPE required on site.
• Must be able to provide references.
• Previous experience in groundworks and dumper operation is essential.
• Must have a good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
• Must be confident operating a dumper safely in a busy site environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be available from 2nd November until 18th December 2026.
