Job summary

3D Personnel are currently looking for a Groundworker / Dumper Driver for a construction project in Southampton. The role involves operating a forward tipping dumper, transporting materials, and assisting with groundworks and drainage installations.

Applicants must hold a valid CSCS Card and a Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket (CPCS or NPORS), plus prior site experience and full PPE. The position offers ongoing site work with potential for higher pay with experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CSCS Card.
• Must hold a valid Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket (CPCS or NPORS).
• Must have previous experience as Groundworker/Dumper Driver on construction sites.
• Must be confident operating site plant safely.
• Must have full PPE and valid ID/passport.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forward tipping dumper safely and efficiently around site.
• Transport materials, soil and aggregates across the site.
• Dig trenches and carry out excavation work.
• Use shovels and other hand tools as required.
• Clear site by removing topsoil and anything affecting construction.
• Landscape the site and clear vegetation as needed.
• Assist with drainage installation and groundwork operations.
• Prepare ground for foundations and set up the site.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with management and other trades to ensure timely completion.

Job description

3D Personnel are currently looking for a Groundworker / Dumper Driver for a construction project in Southampton.

The day-to-day duties will consist of:

• Operating a forward tipping dumper safely and efficiently around site
• Transporting materials, soil and aggregates across the construction site
• Digging trenches and carrying out excavation work
• Using shovels and other hand tools
• Clearing the site by removing topsoil and anything that may affect the construction process
• Landscaping the site
• Clearing vegetation and carrying out general site clearance
• Removing old drainage or other pipework systems
• Assisting with drainage installation and groundwork operations
• Preparing the ground for the building team to lay foundations
• Setting up and maintaining the construction site
• Laying kerbs, paving and driveways where required
• Working closely with site management and other trades to ensure work is completed efficiently
• Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
• Performing all other site duties as instructed by the site management team

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid CSCS Card
• Must hold a valid Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket (CPCS or NPORS)
• Must have previous experience working as a Groundworker / Dumper Driver on construction sites
• Must be confident operating site plant safely
• Must be hard-working, reliable and motivated
• Must have valid ID/Passport
• Must have full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis vest and safety boots)
