Job summary

NRL is seeking an experienced Groundworker for a major civil engineering project in the SE7 area. On-site, 50 hours per week, 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with a 12-month contract and immediate start.

You will perform excavation, concreting, drainage, and general groundworks while maintaining safety on a large infrastructure site. Requirements include a valid CSCS card, mandatory CTC clearance, and proven groundworks experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CSCS card.
• CTC clearance already held – mandatory.
• Proven experience working as a Groundworker on civil engineering or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of site safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundworks duties including excavation, concreting and drainage.
• Replace standard stainless steel structural fixings as part of site works.
• Prepare and maintain work areas in line with project specifications.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Support trades and site operatives as required.
• Follow site instructions and uphold health and safety standards.
• Complete tasks to high quality and productivity requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Groundworker to join a major civil engineering project in the SE7 area. You’ll be working alongside a skilled team on a long‑term contract, ideal for someone seeking steady work with an immediate start.

Rate of pay

£16.16 working rate + £2.03 holiday pay = £18.19 per hour (PAYE)£21.57 per hour (Umbrella)
