Howells Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Domestic Groundworker to join its reactive maintenance team in Brent, North West London. The role involves external groundworks, landscaping and repairs within occupied social housing properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service to residents.

You will manage your own workload, complete jobs on time, and work safely around residents’ homes while contributing to long-term project success in a permanent, full-time

Job role: Groundworker

Location: Brent, North West London

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Domestic Groundworker to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out external repairs, groundworks and general landscaping within occupied social housing properties across Brent.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in domestic groundworks and external maintenance, with the ability to complete a variety of repairs and improvements to residential properties.

This role would suit a reliable, hands-on operative who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, completing jobs efficiently and providing excellent customer service to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out domestic groundworks, landscaping and external maintenance works.
• Completing repairs and reinstatement of pathways, paving, patios, slabs and concrete areas.
• Laying and repairing paving slabs and other hard landscaping features.
• Carrying out fencing repairs and replacements.
• Completing drainage repairs and general external works.
• Preparing, levelling and reinstating ground areas following repairs.
• Completing minor brickwork, masonry and making-good works where required.
• Carrying out general garden and landscaping repairs.
• Diagnosing external issues and completing repairs efficiently and effectively.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
• Delivering excellent customer service when working around residents' homes and gardens.
• Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
• Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.

Experience & Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Proven experience as a Domestic Groundworker, Landscaper or similar.
• Experience within reactive maintenance, property maintenance or social housing.
• Strong experience in paving, slabs, patios, concrete repairs and fencing.
• Experience preparing, levelling and reinstating ground areas.
• Basic experience with drainage and minor brickwork or masonry repairs.
• Experience working within occupied residential properties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
• A full UK manual driving licence, if required for the role.
