Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Groundworker for the National Grid Substation Project in WD25 8DT. You will carry out groundworks including excavation, drainage, ducting, concreting and finishing works, and assist with site preparation.

Work safely, operate small plant where authorised and maintain a clean, organised site. You must have a valid CSCS card and right to work in the UK, and be able to travel to the project location.

Qualifications

Groundworks experience in construction or civil engineering environments.
Understanding of site health and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and flexible approach to work.
Experience in drainage, concreting and general groundworks activities desirable.

Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of groundworks including excavation, drainage, ducting, concreting and finishing works.
Assist with site preparation and general construction activities.
Operate small plant and tools where authorised.
Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and site requirements.
Maintain a clean and organised working area.
Follow instructions from Supervisors and Site Management.
Attend site briefings, toolbox talks and training as required.
Promote health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
