Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a groundworks operative for in-person site work at Stansted Airport, Enterprise House, Bassingbourn Road, Stansted, CM24 1QW. The role involves drainage, excavations, concreting, and finishing works in a team environment.

You will read drawings, install drainage systems, and support other construction activities while maintaining safe on-site practices. CSCS card and proven groundworks experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Groundworks experience required.
• Valid CSCS card required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundworks activities including drainage, excavations, concreting and finishing works.
• Install mains drainage systems and associated utilities.
• Work from drawings and site plans to complete works safely and accurately.
• Assist with excavation works and temporary excavation support systems.
• Establish and maintain safe working areas in line with site requirements.
• Support other construction activities as required.
