Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a Concrete Operative for the National Grid Substation Project in WD25 8DT. You will place, compact and finish concrete to specification, assist with pours and work with a team on site.

Ideal candidates will have a CSCS Card, a solid understanding of concrete placement and finishing, and a strong commitment to safe working practices on major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Concrete Operative on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow site instructions.
• Commitment to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Place, compact and finish concrete to specification.
• Assist with concrete pours and associated activities.
• Work safely around reinforced concrete structures.
• Operate hand and power tools relevant to concrete works.
• Maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades on site.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental requirements at all times.
