Job summary

ITS (Cheltenham) Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Groundworks Site Manager to join their team on high-value groundworks and civil engineering packages across commercial, industrial and large-scale developments.

You will manage day-to-day delivery, supervise site teams and subcontractors, ensure health and safety, and coordinate earthworks, drainage, foundations and concrete works while maintaining programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial groundworks or civil engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of groundworks and civils.
• Experience with drainage, earthworks, foundations and concrete works.
• Experience preparing RAMS and site documentation.
• Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded groundworks and civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Groundworks Site Manager to join their team.

The company has an established reputation for delivering groundworks, infrastructure and civil engineering packages across commercial, industrial and large-scale developments.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of commercial groundworks and civil engineering projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of commercial groundworks packages
• Supervising site teams, subcontractors and plant
• Managing earthworks, drainage, foundations and reinforced concrete works
• Overseeing roads, infrastructure and external works
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the programme
• Managing subcontractors and specialist contractors
• Ensuring RAMS and site documentation are followed
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
• Liaising with clients, main contractors, consultants and project teams

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial groundworks or civil engineering
• Strong technical knowledge of groundworks and civils
• Experience working on commercial, industrial or large-scale developments
• Good understanding of drainage, earthworks, foundations and concrete works
• Experience managing subcontractors, labour and plant
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
• Experience working to construction programmes
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
• Experience with reinforced concrete, deep drainage, attenuation, utilities, highways, infrastructure, earthworks and large-scale foundations would be advantageous.
