This role is responsible for ensuring Norwich’s parks, open spaces, and housing estates are maintained to the required contractual standards. Following a fixed operational schedule, the post holder will execute a variety of grounds maintenance tasks—including turf management, hedge cutting, and chemical spraying—utilizing specialized commercial machinery and vehicles. Key duties include conducting mandatory pre-use equipment checks, adhering strictly to Health & Safety legislation, and addressing public inquiries on-site in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of commercial grounds maintenance practices and the ability to undertake rigorous physical work in all weather conditions. A full UK driving licence with Category B+E (towing) entitlement is essential, alongside relevant industry certifications including PA1/PA2/PA6 spraying qualifications and Lantra certifications. Strong communication skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and a strict commitment to safety protocols are required.
This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.

Horticultural qualification or equivalent experience
Full driving licence - Category B + E (towing)
