Job summary

St Edwards School in Oxford is seeking a Grounds Operative to join the Estates team and maintain a 100-acre estate. You will perform a range of grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks, including lawns, sports surfaces, pitch preparation, hedge work, turf care, pruning, and general grounds upkeep.

Experience in grounds maintenance or gardening is beneficial; the role offers a friendly environment, cycling to work scheme, and pension options.

Grounds Operative

Join the Grounds team at St Edwards Oxford and help care for an impressive 100-acre estate. Working as part of the Estates team, you will undertake a range of grounds maintenance and landscaping duties, including maintaining lawns and sports surfaces, preparing sports pitches, hedge maintenance and planting, turf care, pruning and keeping paths and grounds well maintained.

You may already have experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or a similar practical outdoor role, or you may simply have a strong interest in developing a career in this area. Benefits include:
