Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd seeks a Garden maintenance team leader to supervise a small crew on sites such as schools and business parks across the region.

You'll lead hedge cutting, strimming, mowing (pedestrian and ride-on), grass maintenance and weed control, ensuring high standards and safety compliance. An essential driving license is required, PA1/PA6 desirable, with overtime paid at 1.5x and a pension/bonus scheme on permanency.

Qualifications

• Experience and a drivers license is essential.
• Good experience and knowledge of the industry.
• PA1/PA6 is also strongly desired but not essential.

• Lead a charge hand supervising a team of 2–3 operatives on site.
• Carry out hedge cutting, strimming, mowing (pedestrian and ride-on), grass maintenance and weed control; general grounds maintenance.

Job description

Garden maintenance team leaders is required by one of the areas leading Horticulture and Grounds maintenance specialists for an immediate start.

The duties will be being a charge hand leading team of 2/3 operatives and to carry out duties such as Hedge cutting, strimming, using pedestrian mowers and ride on, grass cutting/maintenance, weed control and all general grounds maintenance duties.

Experience and a drivers license is essential

We require candidates to have good experience and knowledge of the industry

PA1/PA6 is also strongly desired but not essential.

Our client works on sites such as schools, business parks, industrial estates and housing developments

The role will be made permanent after a 3 month probation if all goes well. Some of the benefits if you go permanent are are £13.19ph + overtime after 3.30pm, company bonus scheme and pension scheme. Our client also have at least one annual staff day out. For example a summer party for staff and their families.

There is plenty of opportunity for overtime which is paid at 1.5 times hourly rate
