Slough Borough Council is seeking four Grounds Semi-Skilled Operatives to join the frontline team in Slough. The roles are 37 hours per week, permanent, based at Slough Cemetery (Cross site).
Salary is £30,160–£32,118 (fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance). You’ll perform grounds maintenance, work alone or in teams, and use handheld devices to record progress while keeping spaces clean and welcoming for residents.

We're looking for 4 practical, reliable and motivated Grounds Semi-Skilled Operative to join our frontline team and play a hands-on role in maintaining the places our residents use every day. From parks and gardens to roadsides, sports pitches and public open spaces, you'll help create clean, safe and welcoming environments across Slough.
You'll carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance activities to a high standard, including grass cutting, hedge and shrub maintenance, litter collection, ornamental planting, sports pitch preparation, minor tree works, landscaping and playground maintenance.
You'll work both independently and as part of a team, using your skills, knowledge and initiative to complete allocated work safely, efficiently and professionally. You'll also use electronic devices to update work progress, liaise with supervisors and colleagues, and help make sure our schedules remain accurate and effective.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1 April, subject to six months' service and satisfactory performance, until the maximum spinal column point is reached.
