Job summary

Housing Quality Network is seeking three Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our Eastleigh-based team. You'll be responsible for maintaining external communal areas, mowing lawns, and caring for shrubs and hedges across sites in Eastleigh and surrounding areas.

Working in a small team, you’ll plan your fortnightly rounds, carry out soft landscaping and minor tree work when required, and ensure safe, tidy estates. We provide training, uniform, vehicle, and ongoing benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience.
• PA1 and PA6AW qualifications desirable but not essential.
• NPTC certification or equivalent desirable but not essential.
• A full driver’s licence (towing licence desirable).

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of external communal areas: grass, shrubs and hedges.
• Soft landscaping or minor tree work as required.
• Cover sites across Eastleigh, Hampshire and surrounding areas.
• Plan workload within a fortnightly round and work within a team.

Job description

We’reresponsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas to our customers. This covers a large geographicalareaand our customers includes market rent, shared ownership and independent living communities on many estates or the whole estate. We also provide a reactionary service where wehavetodeal with hazards which can be anything from dumped items to clearing snow on our independent living blocks.

We’realso responsible for the management of the trees and like toretainas many as possible or replant if any are removed. We believe that the trees play a big part in our communities by providing shade in the summer and promote a healthy wellbeing as well as offsetting our carbon footprint.

We have an exciting opportunity forthree Grounds Maintenance Operativesto join our team based in Eastleigh – and we need you!

We’relooking for a proactive,great teamplayer and someone with a good eye for detailwho’slooking for a new challenge.

Working within a team,you’llbe responsible forthe upkeep of the external communal areas, grass,shrubsand hedges. You may alsobe requiredto undertake soft landscaping/minor tree work.

You’llbe covering sites across Eastleigh, Hampshire and surrounding areas from our main base and have the flexibility to plan your workload within a fortnightly round.

Whatyou’llneed:
