Job summary

Abri Group is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Horndean to manage the upkeep of external communal areas across multiple estates and to respond to hazards as needed.

You will plan a fortnightly workload, perform soft landscaping and carry out minor tree work, with travel across Horndean, Petersfield, Ham Barn and surrounding areas. A full driving licence is preferred for site-to-site travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant experience.
• Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience.
• PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable).
• NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable).
• A full driver’s licence (towing licence desirable).

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of external communal areas, grass, shrubs and hedges.
• Plan and execute workload within a fortnightly round.
• Perform soft landscaping and minor tree work as required.
• Respond to hazards and other emergency maintenance tasks.
• Report any tree removal and propose replanting strategies.

Grounds Maintenance Team

The Grounds Maintenance team is responsible for the cyclical upkeep of communal areas across multiple estates for market rent, shared ownership and independent living communities. We also provide a reactionary service dealing with hazards such as dumped items and snow clearance.

Your new role

We are hiring a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Horndean with responsibilities covering Horndean, Petersfield, Ham Barn, Liss and surrounding areas.
