Job summary

Amey is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative for NRS Winfrith, supporting Nuclear Restoration Services within Complex Facilities. The role covers grass cutting, hedge work, herbicide application and general grounds upkeep.

You will work 37 hours per week, with a full driving licence and relevant grounds maintenance experience. Amey offers training, a long-term contract, and benefits including holidays, pension and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Knowledge and experience of gardening in a commercial setting.
• Experience with light plant, wheeled tractors and safety compliance.
• Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and CS certificates.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative for NRS Winfrith, supporting Amey's work across Nuclear Restoration Services within Complex Facilities.

The standard hours of work are 37 hours per week (Mon - Thurs 07.30 until 16.30 and Fri 07.30 until 12.00)

What you will do

• Grass cutting using ride on and pedestrian mowers
• Strimming and brush cutting
• Herbicide application
• Clearing water courses
• Ues of tractor mounted flail and side arm flail
• maintenance and repair of perimeter track
• Hedge cutting and maintenance of shrub beds
• Assisting client with waste disposal
• maintenance of tools and equipment
• Maintaining records
• Operate light plant and power tools

What you will bring:

• Full driving licence.
• Knowledge and experience of gardening (in a commercial setting), agriculture, horticulture operations or grounds maintenance type duties.
• Experience in operating light plant and equipment and wheeled tractors.
• Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
• Chainsaw Wind Blown Trees (CS 34) CS30/CS31
• Chainsaw maintenance and Cross Cut.
