Job summary

Ground Control is hiring Grounds Maintenance Operatives to support high-quality grounds services at Green Park, Reading RG2 6GP. You will perform routine and specialist tasks, operate machinery safely, and maintain equipment while using mobile tech to record work.

The role emphasizes health and safety, teamwork, and professional conduct. Driving licence is preferred, and PA1/PA6 spraying qualifications or horticultural certification are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, spraying and litter picking.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures when operating machinery and chemicals.
• Full UK driving licence preferred for site visits and operations.
• Spraying qualifications PA1 and PA6 and/or a horticultural certification are desirable.
• A proactive, professional attitude and ability to work independently or within a team.

• Operate a range of equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Maintain tools, vehicles and PPE to a high standard and report any defects.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar grounds maintenance role
• A good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe equipment use
• Full UK driving license (preferred)
• Spraying qualifications (PA1 & PA6) and/or horticultural certification (desirable)
• A proactive, professional attitude and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
