Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Birmingham-based Property Care team. The role involves maintaining landscaped and communal areas to a high standard, using tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance, hedge cutting, planting, weeding and litter picking across estates.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a permanent annualised pattern. A full UK driving licence is essential as it is a mobile role.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence as the role is mobile.
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Birmingham Depot.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge is required.
• Demonstrable grounds maintenance experience, including plant/machinery use, ideally with local authority or housing association experience.
• PA1/PA6 spraying certificates are advantageous.

Calling all Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Birmingham!

Platform Property Care has a permanent position for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance Team based in Birmingham providing high quality grounds maintenance and associated estates services there and the surrounding area.

What could you be doing?

You will be responsible for maintaining landscaped and communal green areas to a high standard in and around our estates. Your duties will include tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance, brush cutting/ strimming, hedge cutting, shrub pruning, planting, weeding and weed control, and litter picking.
