Job summary

Ubico Limited is seeking an enthusiastic Ground Maintenance Operative to help with the upkeep of public spaces across Gloucester. The role is varied, covering routine grounds maintenance and related waste activities in city and external locations.

You will need a full driving licence, basic knowledge of horticulture and of plant and machinery, and an awareness of health and safety. A proactive team player with a customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence to drive up to 3.5 tonnes.
• Basic knowledge of horticulture.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles, plant and machinery.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements in grounds maintenance.
• Experience with mobile or static plant and equipment.
• Proactive team member with a positive attitude and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine grounds maintenance across Gloucester and external locations.
• Assist with waste activities as required.
• Support a varied workload throughout the season.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Ground Maintenance Operative to help with the up keep of public spaces throughout Gloucester. This is a varied role and you will be carrying out a wide range of routine grounds maintenance throughout the season and other waste activities in various locations throughout the City and external locations.

You will need…

• Full driving licence to be able to drive a range of vehicles up to and including 3.5 tonnes gross weight
• A basic knowledge of horticulture
• A basic knowledge of vehicles, plant and machinery for use within a grounds maintenance environment
• A basic knowledge of health and safety requirements within a grounds maintenance environment
• Previous experience of working with mobile or static plant and equipment.
• To be a proactive team member with a positive attitude and customer focussed
