Job summary

Ubico is seeking a Ground Maintenance Operative to help keep public spaces across Gloucester clean and green. The role covers routine grounds maintenance and related waste activities in the City and external locations.

You will need a full driving licence to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, basic knowledge of horticulture and plant/machinery, and awareness of health and safety in grounds work. A proactive, customer‑focussed team member is essential.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight.
• Basic knowledge of horticulture.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles, plant and machinery used in grounds maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety in grounds maintenance.
• Experience with mobile or static plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine grounds maintenance across Gloucester and external locations.
• Engage in waste activities as required by the role.
• Be a proactive, customer-focused team member.
