Job summary

Amey Group Services LTD is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative for the NRS Harwell site in Oxfordshire. In this practical role you will help maintain safe, clean and professional external spaces for customers, site users and visitors, throughout the year in varying weather conditions.

You will perform grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking and general upkeep, and may support wider site operations, including forklift operations if trained and authorised.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality grounds maintenance: grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking and general upkeep.
• Maintain safe, clean and professional external areas per the work schedule.
• Operate vehicles, grounds maintenance machinery and equipment safely, following health and safety requirements.
• Support site logistics and material movements by operating a forklift when trained and authorised.
• Carry out gritting and other seasonal duties during adverse weather conditions.

In this practical, varied role, you will help maintain safe, clean and professional external spaces for customers, site users and visitors. Alongside grounds maintenance, you may support wider site operations by operating a forklift truck when appropriately qualified, authorised and required.

Your work will make an important contribution to the safe and efficient operation of the site throughout the year, including during seasonal and adverse weather conditions.
