Qualifications

Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative

Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.21

Position Type: Fixed Term Contract

Type of Employment: Full Time

Weekly Contractual Hours: 45

Location: DVSA, Ashford Civic Centre, Ashford, Kent, England, TN23 1PL

Requirement: Full UK Driving License

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UK's market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be delivering exceptional grounds maintenance and winter services for our clients' sites.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, clearing leaves, spraying, litter picking.
2. Using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery to maintain all sites and external areas to a high standard.
3. Deliver additional winter services such as gritting, snow clearing, and installing Christmas trees.
4. Report site hazards to management.
5. Operate a range of vehicles, machinery, and equipment following health and safety procedures.
6. Undertake additional training as required.

Qualifications and skills:

1. Passion for working outdoors.
2. Prepared to work in flexible environments.
3. Good understanding of smartphone technology.
4. Previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not necessary.
5. PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus.
6. Full driving license is preferable.
