A P Broome Landscapes Ltd is a thriving, well-established commercial grounds maintenance company headquartered in Preston, Lancashire. With over five decades of experience, we hold multi-million-pound contracts nationwide, specialising in serving blue chip utilities.

Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team in Gillingham and surrounding areas (postcode ME8). You will play a crucial role in maintaining grounds around hazardous installations, such as substations and gas terminals, for prestigious clients across our extensive contracts. Occasional travel and overnight stops may be required.

Please Note: A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of a two-person team, supported by our contract teams.
2. Maintain high health and safety standards during all operations.
3. Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks per company and client specifications.
4. Utilise your PA1 and PA6 certifications, with a preference for knapsack spraying expertise.
5. Coordinate tasks efficiently using your organisational and communication skills.
6. Work independently and collaboratively.
7. Maintain a valid UK driving licence for travel requirements.
8. Apply knowledge of H&S operations and practical implications.
9. Possess qualifications such as PA2ar (quad bike spraying), Woodchipper operation, Utility Arboriculture, SHEA Passports, and First Aid certification.
10. Maintain grounds maintenance certifications for substations and be a competent person in this area.
