Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Total FM team serving Leeds & Kirklees PFI Schools. Based at Morley Depot, you will maintain outdoor spaces, mow lawns, trim hedges, plant, weed, and perform general landscape upkeep.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. We value self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work unsupervised across weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and capable of performing outdoor manual tasks.
• Ability to follow laid-down schedules and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and adapt to changing sites.

Responsibilities

• Visit sites weekly/fortnightly with set schedules for timely work.
• Safely operate ride-on and rotary mowers, strimmers, and other horticultural tools.
• Carry out soil cultivation, planting, mowing, edging, and general landscape upkeep.
• Maintain borders, hedges, and shrub trimming; keep sites clean and free of debris.
• Keep records of tasks performed, materials used, and equipment.
• Ensure safe working practices and report issues to the manager.
